shareDoes it really matter if you did nothing wrong in terms of this person and you? Maybe you were not all that important in the scheme of things in his mind or maybe he feels some betrayal that you are now gone. Maybe this person expected you to be around for a long time. It could be any number of reasons. I've learned to let such things go as it is more of a problem for the other person than you. On a more pleasant note I've had a few instances where a member of the opposite sex opened a path for communication after time was running out to be in contact due to circumstances such as college career ending. Being married for a while now I have to let such encounters go as flattery and nothing more than that.
shareSorry to hear that, croft_alice. Some people do get weird in that way. He might've also been preoccupied with his own problems, as well, though.
As some people say, chances are that the problems are with him and not you.
Sage counsel.
shareIs that french?
shareNo, but the origin of the English words could be, for all I know.
It's another way of saying "wise advice".
Herbal. :)
share?
shareSage is an herb, Salvia officinalis
shareHe should have acknowledged you. So many people will do that, often thinking of phone in their hand or their pocket instead of who's around them. I hope the next time you see him, you're sipping a drink with an umbrella while he's frantically trying to explain to a jealous boyfriend why he was staring at the waitress.
shareThe folks here are right, croft. He may have had other things on his mind. The problem is with him.
You gave a friendly greeting. Maybe next time you see him, he'll salute back.
I've had people do that to me. I've unfortunately done it to others as well.
