What actor or actress....
would you want to give your eulogy?
You can write it if you're so inclined.
They can be living or dead.
Would you go for comedy, drama, good speaking voice, maybe somebody
who can sing and dance?

Living or dead???
Paul Newman! He wouldn't even have had to speak. Just to know that he showed up would be fantabulous!
edit: Of course, I'd be dead, so I'd never know it..... right?

Nice. I'm sure he'd do you proud.
That's a great song choice.
Can I borrow that one ?

Andy Samberg. First, pass out the beers and/or whatever else people might like to drink or smoke. Then a few jokes and a music parody, completely unrelated to me or my death. Finish up with the following:
"TexasJack is dead. So is Phillip Tattaglia. Moe Greene. Stracci. Cuneo. Today we settled all family business."
I love it.
He could bring Timberlake with him.
Even better! But he's gotta rock the fish costume. My name is Mr. Fish...

Fish costume??
π
It's from Samberg's last movie "Popstar". Timberlake played his lowly assistant with dreams of the big-time and he got his shot at the end of the movie...but he had to wear a fish costume.

Oh okay then. Thanks, Jack.

LOL, Jack! So is Fredo and about 45 others.

Perfect!

It's a tie between James Earl Jones for his magnificent voice, and the late, great John Houseman, who could solemnly intone that I had "EARNED it!"
The risk with Houseman, of course, is that he might mention that I had a "skull full of mush!"
PS My third choice would be the late, great comic Mitch Hedberg who might insist that I get
a receipt for the funeral service.
PPS This is a GREAT thread!
π
I loooooved Mitch Hedberg. He was so funny and absurd. I'll never forget the first time I saw him on Letterman. He was a huge loss.

I still do. He's one of my all time favs!
"One time I bought a donut. They gave me a receipt. Why do I need a receipt? I give you the money, you give me the donut, end of transaction. We do not need to bring ink and paper into this."
π
You know, he was so great at the delivery. The way he carried himself. It was absolutely charming and funny. There was nothing mean in his act. When I read those lines you wrote, I could instantly hear him saying them. He was unique.
shareAlong the lines of John Houseman, I would also go with Orson Wells. He had such a beautiful speaking voice.
shareGreat choice.
He would give an epitaph to remember.
He might also scare the crap out of everybody there.
BTW the next ATM pick was made.
Not the first choice but still good? If you're still interested.
I saw it and I started watching it tonight. So far, I love it. I can't believe I've never heard of it!!! What a great cast. There are so many great actors in that. I'll try to finish it tonight or tomorrow. I love when there's a hidden gem. They're so rare.
shareIn this day they are hard to find.
I hope you like it.
I was going to pick Before the Rain. A great conversation movie.
The only English subtitled one I could find had other subtitles too.
I didn't think that would be of interest to that many people.
We still might have a "private" screening of that movie for those who are interested.
Mostly Mina and me. Keep it mind.
Hmm. That sounds sort of familiar. Sure, count me in if you give it the go ahead.
shareYou probably have seen it. I'll get you a link if we do this.

Oooooh, another excellent choice!
"Rosebud was one of his favorite things when he was a boy. It was (SPOILER ALERT!!!) a sled.
