You are in luck! TCM is showing it some time soon, I think Friday. They're playing this and Fitzcaraldo. Set your DVR. Oh and I see autocorrect made Fitzi into Finnish. Hahaha! My God, I should proofread.

I think they are playing a handful of movies by Werzog..

Btw, since you mention Finnish, do you like Aki Kaurismaki? Or Matti Pellonpaa --- some of my favorites.

reply

I had to do a search to see who these guys are. I only recognized one movie that Matti Pellonpa was in- Night on Earth. When I was looking at all the movies Aki did, they all look like they have been rated fairly well. Is there a movie you could recommend? Looks like the actor died very young-44.

reply

I've never rated any of his dramas under an 8.5/10 --- hope you enjoy! Please let me know if you see any of them, very curious what you think... Aki and his brother Mika (separately) made 18 movies with Pellonpaa.. Speaking of "Night on Earth", it's going to come on TCM in a day or so, I remember seeing it on my DVR futures.

Shadows In Paradise - 9/10
Ariel - 9/10
La Vie de Boheme -9/10
Take Care of Your Scarf, Tatiana

I was thinking of watching them again at night -- great humor, great stories, great acting and writing..

reply

Thank you for the recommendation! I appreciate it very much. I'm always looking for something good especially foreign films. I've only heard of their most popular movies and not all the little gems that are available. So, I'll see if I can find these and we'll chat!
