Coming across your old posts
Do you ever go to a board, start reading a thread, find a post that says exactly what you were thinking, think about responding to it, only to realise it was one of your posts?

shareI've had similar experiences, but I haven't mistaken my posts for someone else's. More often I simply forget that I posted something.
Sometimes I skim through my profile looking for a specific thread I made, then stumble across something that I have no memory of writing. Once someone responded to a comment I made months ago.
I've momentarily mistaken my post for someone else having written it because I posted on IMDb for years. So far, I've yet to mistake any of my MC posts! But no doubt that'll happen too, eventually.
I've done the same, looking through my posting history. It's nice when someone responds to a post you made months ago. I'm an indiscriminate poster, and don't care how old a thread or post is, if I've got something to say.

Did you think that whoever wrote that is a genius ? That they were just brilliant.
shareOr worse, you think "whoever wrote that is a moron!"
shareThat's a great point. That's why the delete button was invented.
I'm sure I would be more apt to think this about my posts.
Especially the 1 or 2 drunk posts. But just 1 or 2.
:D
Too bad we're not able to edit or delete our old IMDb posts. I've come across a few I've cringed a bit over.
Yes! Such insight, such eloquence, and it was like they were able to read my mind!
shareI responded to one of my old posts just the other day. I knew it was mine though. I figure, what the heck? It is trending now. Let's see if anyone cares to talk.
shareYou must have been on IMDb a long time. I could have sworn I saw a post of yours from a long time ago. I go to some pretty obscure movies so their boards were never big enough to be purged. Wish I could remember which one. Was pretty cool though. :)
I believe I started posting on IMDb around 2005. Yeah. It was a while.
So far I have been lucky...... one of these days I will come across something that will make me cringe. LOL!
Oh it was nothing cringe-worthy. :) I was just pretty sure it was from at least 10 years ago. That's pretty awesome!
shareHere we go. I was on the 11. 22. 63 board last week.....

I saw your post a few days ago. I have the DVD set and in honor of the day I watched again.....
The gal you are talking about definitely looks like someone from the Kennedy family. It's interesting. I have to wonder if the actress was chosen because she has that look!
I doubt very much that she is Caroline Kennedy. I doubt very much that JFK's daughter would ever agree to do a cameo in a movie like this.
Once again, I am amazed at that resemblance to the Kennedys. I have to wonder if that was planned when they chose the actress!

I'm replying to myself before the boards shut down. I remembered this post.
Just thought I'd keep this board in the trending bar in case there are any other fans of this book/mini series who care to discuss it.
I haven't had too much luck here on MovieChat but I'll keep trying.
I looked for it on Trending, but couldn't find it. I'd join in, but haven't seen it. Fear not, sooner or later, someone's going to reply to your post :). I think of us as being digital Johnny Appleseeds!
