Collective hate of movies

It seriously blows my mind every time I see it. Last year it was Ghostbusters, now the same with The Emoji Movie. Both films got pounded before it was even released, so what did they even judge it on? Same happened with this new film of Al Gore: An Inconvenient Sequal. Released yesterday, horrible ratings the day before yesterday. How can these people even defend their own judgement? I can slightly understand it with Ghostbusters because that was kind of a classic and remakes mostly suck. But that excuse doesn't hold with The Emoji Movie.

The effort people go through is ridiculous. There's no way all people who voted on IMDb watched The Emoji Movie, and 80,8% of all voters sincerely thought it was worth one star. This became a witch hunt on a film not even targeted at the people hating it the most. I hate blogs most of all, who are all pitching in on the hate. They themselves lack all creative capability of coming up with something original and instead mooch off hypes and whatever the hell was on Reddit today. And that's how the bullshit continues in a rolling snowball to such an extend that now even some serious media are slacking it off just to jump on the hate train.

Most of all: why would you care? Both The Emoji Movie and Ghostbusters got all the attention it needed before you watched it. People knew exactly what they bought the tickets for. If you don't like it, don't watch it. But some people just choose to be annoyed, they love feeling angry and offended. Are they too dumb to activate a filter that pre-selects what seems interesting to them? That's what saved me from a lot of bad film prior. Or are they idiots who just randomly vote for films they've never watched just for the sake of hating something? Either way: you're really, really stupid.

I wish somebody could explain this to me. I seriously don't understand why people are like this.

I can't explain why,Birchwood...but the same feeling I had when sony delayed the release of the final chapter....and the reason was the new ghostbusters...I saw the trailer for this and I thought : for this movie they delay it...really!?

It was mostly critics paid off by publicists. Most movies need a boost or else they would never get to the forefront. You do realize that the movie industry finds ways to publicize only those movies they want people to see and foot money to make it happen right?
