The Beguiled

I am super excited to see this movie. I saw online there is a version with Clint Eastwood. I didn't want to spoil anything on myself by reading too much of the synopsis so can anyone shed a little light on this and tell me if it is a remake and how closely done are if so?

reply

I was going to see it because I like the cast. But I've read bad reviews so I won't waste my time watching.

Oh I'm not smart enough for that. I never listen to reviews even though sometimes I regret that. I like Nicole Kidman too, as much as I have tried not to I just like her. I think it has a lot to do with how much I liked "The Others". I was hoping this would have a similar feel to it, but it probably won't even be close.
(Trying to keep myself in the dark as much as possible on this one..hehe)

I can’t speak for the remake Daisy, but the original with Clint Eastwood was quite good, and worth checking out. Older members will likely recognize most of the cast in that movie. It seemed like that young girl, Pamelyn Ferdin, was in practically every other TV series and movie at the time. And I remember Elizabeth Hartman went on to play the wife in the original Walking Tall with Joe Don Baker, among many other things.

My own personal experience with most remakes has been that they’re usually a let down.

I know right? I'm so tempted to watch the Clint Eastwood one. I think I will. ;)
