My favorites of hers are Elevator to the Gallows and The Bride Wore Black. She was brilliant in so many movies. So beautiful too.

It has a similar feel to Elevator. It's good. I think you'll like it. It's kind of funny too, not comical but snarky. That's not the right word. Campy? The wardrobe in that movie is so '60s. JM looks so pretty in it.

Oh, now you're talking! I looove Francois Truffaut. My favorite of his is Day for Night. I love everything about that movie. It's the best. It is such a shame that he died so young. A real loss. Also, Louis Malle! Truffaut died when I was young so I wasn't aware of him yet but I remember when Louis Malle died. Au Revoir Les Enfants is a masterpiece and I remember crying in the theater while watching that one. I think he died not long after that came out.

Bride was a fantastic film. She was perfect in it.

reply

Wasn't she? She was great, a natural talent.

I actually can't think of one film she was in where I didn't like her performance. That's not easy to say about any actor

Hmm, I have a lot of movie watching to do. You made me look at her film list and I have seen only seen about 15% of the movies she was in. She was certainly prolific. That could be a goal, see more Jeane Moreau films. I saw that she made a couple of tv series. I'd like to check those out.
