Hi im looking for films that the main character tries to expose something shady or evil(business,secrets etc) but ultimately fail and get silenced and the thing the person tried to expose keeps going like nothing happened.

[spoiler] Lancel (not quite a main character) follows a shady kid down alleys and tunnels until they reach a chamber full of wildfire. Kid stabs him, Lancel crawls towards the a burning candle sitting in the explosive green stuff and tries to blow it out, but fails. Boom. [/spoiler]
