I saw that a couple days ago, so funny. Well it is a good idea, I can't deny him that... so good that Clinton already did it...(Bill, not Hilary)
It's even funnier when he hates the Clintons so much and he likes a law that started under pres Clinton.
It's just so clear that nobody on his team is able to rein him in or advise him before he opens his mouth. If he had told his staff beforehand that he wanted to say that in a speech, they could have quickly fact checked him and told him it already exists. They could have protected him from embarrassment. But he isn't listening to anyone.
Reagan was kind of clueless too, he probably couldn't remember or understand a lot of what was going on, but he listened to his puppetmasters and just said what they told him to say. So he never appeared that stupid. He was an actor and knew how to follow directors. Trump won't follow anyone's directions so he keeps showing his butt. He has a whole team trying to protect his ass, and he insists on showing it. And then they are stuck in this position of trying to justify all his gaffes. they aren't ever allowed to say he made a mistake, even something as common and relate- able as a typo. Spicer had to say that 'covfefe' meant something and only a small group of people understood what it meant. He wasn't even allowed to just say "it was obviously a typo, everyone makes them, lets talk about something more important".
True. Pathetic and hilarious at the same time, isn't it?
shareIt's hard to understand why anyone wants to work for him when he won't listen to good advice, he contradicts his spokespeople all the time and makes them look bad. He flip flops his own position so much that his team can't keep up. I actually feel sorry for his team sometimes. Not that they are awesome people, but just that they are trying to do a good job and he won't let them. And then he hangs them out to dry, he does not care if anyone else on his team is being investigated as long as he's in the clear.
I guess now they are just not doing press briefings as much to cut down on the embarrassments, or not allowing the press to film or even audio record their briefings. What are they trying so hard to hide?
You'd think that if they always accuse the press of misrepresenting them, they'd WANT it on video of what they said, so that the press couldn't put other words in their mouth. But they've constantly used this "fake news" excuse when it was literally their own words that were in the news. Apparently "fake news" means you said something that was wrong or stupid, and then your verbatim statement was on the news.
That's how spineless those republicans have gotten. Dealing with the problems of their boss shouldn't even be a partisan issue. It should really be a sanity, integrity, and "do what's actually best for the damn country" issue. But whatever...
