Moderator3 is already a winner, shall we choose names for the mods?

Friendly, confident, articulate and on-the-mark punctuation.

What an introduction, straight to business with a smile and charisma.

I realise we're still in the early formative days of this community but all three mods and Jim are all doing their parts so well to have this place working like a well oiled machine in the way that I hope it will become for a much broader community in the not so distant future.

One slight thing, and I'm sure this will iron out over time all by itself, is that designating numbers instead of something more organic seems a bit clinical to my mind.

Would any of you be up for suggesting some movie, and television, related names which could go into a raffle and give our dedicated moderation team some semblance of humanity within their roles?

So you mean everyone suggests names and one is picked at random for each mod? That could be interesting, but I don't think changing a username is possible (yet). And the mods should probably have a say in what their new name should be, lol.

All the mods (so far) are great. Kudos to them and Jim for their hard work!

There are a number of ways we could have the mods be more humanised.

They could pick their own names, of course. However as it is a role and I'm sure they'd like to participate s regular members too they might not want to be known by their former screen names.

Maybe if we had a bunch of names thrown into a hat which they could either choose from or get randomly it could be a nice whimsical way of attributing some sort of characteristics upon them more than the fact that they "Are more than just a number".

It's open to all to add their thoughts into the mix though and when it is all said and done it would be down to Jim and the mods to decide whether they wanted to be seen as something more than gollums with numbers and adopt names that they may not have otherwise chosen (Unless they want to pick their own names of course!).

Just something to liven the spirits of all up is all :)

How about Joey,Chandler and Ross?

I think a "Moderator of the week" competition would be an idea.
Mods could do battle to win our affection.

I dunno Dazed, a bit dated now...

I think a moderator of the month compo might be a good idea, tally up points and then maybe a quiz (With handicaps based on prior wins) at the end of the year for mod of the year could be a winner.

It might attract more trouble though and so there's that to take into account.

But yes, general mod love and rivalry should keep this boat sailing in the right direction!

I was wondering, when you had your warnings if they come as a pm or an email directly from the mod?

Whilst I like the Spice Girls they might the the "Mod Power" thing has a jab at them ;)
