Escape Reality. Immersive games/apps/movies

I just watched "App" it's a movie that has an acompying cell app that makes your phone like a second screen to the movie. It kinda pulls you into the film. You can see the movie with the Tubi TV app for Android and watch it for free.

I love apps, games, movies, board games or anything that is immersive. Like an escape from reality.

What do you like that is really immersive or helps you Eescape reality?

Being on a production or background for movies/tv series. I would love to move into some lead roles, if I ever get that chance in this lifetime.

Fun Fact:

The movie/t.v. industry were HUGE reality escapes during WWII and this is actually how IMDb and now moviechat.org came to be. Prior to WWII, there was only radio (not 100% sure on this) and maybe some attempt at earlier models of television. So when people were under distress, the popularity for movies/t.v. series went up and here we are today!

I makes sense for sure. TV has always been an escape for me. I've had a pretty traumatic life.

So what do you do in the movie industry?

reply

Originally, I had a yearning to become an actor. I found a casting director via a film office state page and then I did tons of background work. Couple of opportunities later, this same casting director called me and asked if I would like to be a stand-in. I never had a clue as to what one was. Apparently, it is like an off screen actor double. I did that for two different t.v. to video movies. On the side, I also found a crew position, production assistant. They are basically the grunt workers of the entire industry. We do all the little things around set for the movie/t.v. crews for 5-10 hours a day. I loved the fact that I was always fed on set though and overtime was always after 8 hours!
