It depends on what their motive is behind the study, and what they're learning lol.

Well if it was something that they wanted to know about in terms of emulating me, then yes, I would like it. I wouldn't find it irritating. Like at work when a co-worker and I are doing the same job but are doing it a bit different than each other and they see the way I'm doing it and they start doing it the same way as me after awhile because they see that I'm doing it in a better or easier or more efficient way.

And then there are people that study in a nefarious way in order to manipulate you or do something not so nice to you. Now that would be irritating lol.

How can you NOT like it when you teach or inspire someone else, either actively (by interacting with him/her) or passively (s/he observes and learns from the example you set)? It's one of the most gratifying gifts a person can give.

Not sure they learned from me but I am happy they might live longer because of me. I ride my bike in the country about every day. I go by a retired couples house most days. If they are out they always say hi and ask me how I am doing. Well today I pass them on two new bikes. He said them seeing me ride all the time inspired them to start riding.

Like a habit someone notices that I'm not aware of? They notice I have a hard time trusting people?

Reading this thread, I'm not quite understanding what you mean because I read some fine answers on this thread, but you say those things aren't what you mean.
I think it's nice if someone should learn anything from me. I learn new things just about everyday from others. Even here on this site I learn different things. Isn't that a big part of life? We learn each day until we die.

Well, not everything adults tell children is a fairy tale.

It's a shame that you don't feel that you have learned anything on this site because believe it or not, I think you learned a little something from this very thread. You found out how others felt about a topic you thought of.

What have I learned from this site?
Everyone has their own opinion and different ways of looking at things.
I have also come away from threads about some of my favorite films with new insight.

Everyday I turn on the news and learn more about what is going on in the world.

I guess it's all in the way you look at things. Try to be pleased if you can pass on just a little knowledge to someone else and be grateful for the knowledge that's passed on to you.

Sorry to have bothered you. I just assume that when someone puts out a question that they are looking for feedback.
Have a good night.
