Your favorite director(s)?

Is there a director you have or want to see everything of. There is only a few movies I have not seen of Herschell Gordon Lewis. He directed a lot of crappy ones even though he rarely had the budget or crew to compete with the big companies. He is for good reason called the Godfather of gore. I like those movies the most, simple but fun and to me these concepts are brilliant. Don't take it too seriously but the humor is never over the top and despite the stories being completely fictional they still do rely on logic. Yes even horror movies need to have that IMO. So please no to keeping resurrecting the villain.

Not really. I mean I do not watch a movie because of the person who is directing it. If I had to answer this question, I would probably be going back to all the movie I have enjoyed watching, looking to see who directed it, and then putting their name here.

I have already watched every Mario Bava horror film which was a nice task but I wont finish all his non-horror.

Kiyoshi Kurosawa I have watched all his horror films (11) and all were great so I plan on watching all his other films as well which is about another 30.

I want to watch all of Takashi Miike's films as well but that is a fucking crazy long list so will just be a slow mission over the years :D

No other directors spring to mind other than Kim Jee-woon but he hasn't made loads so I only need to see like one or two more but he is a director I will keep watching everything he makes as it comes out.

You have a favorite among the Bava movies? I really love Black Sunday a lot but also I Vampiri, Kill Baby Kill and Baron Blood.

Luc Besson.

I don't know why but I want to see all of his movies even when it's bad.
