KIND OF SCARY!
So I saw that my "Life" thread made it to the top 16 (first page of Movie Chat) and it had me thinking more about life. I looked up what exactly life in our society (mostly for Americans) is like.
Apparently, 12 years of your life is in schooling, paid for by parent taxes.
The next 4 years is optional based on if one would want a college education or a job.
After those 4 years, it is further optional to go through graduate school.
The average male life expectancy is around 72 for an American.
If one were to plan a life, one would say 72-16 ~ 56 years, one would have to work for.
Unemployment in any of those 56 years would be dependent on if you have enough in savings to allow you to get by.
Assuming savings could not cover you, YOU ONLY GET 5 WHOLE YEARS OF WELFARE?! Like that is the limit (I never knew there was a limit.)
What happens after that?
I guess that is what homelessness really is.
Just to put things in perspective. The threat is real people!
