Well Buddhists say that desire is the source of all unhappiness. And several of the 10 commandments are about coveting. Basically thou shalt not covet ANYTHING, not just the neighbors wife or their house or their car or their pile of cash. The coveting itself is the sin.
So if you use 'desire' instead of 'love', that is pretty close to accurate.
Pure love (agape) is unselfish but greed/desire/covetousness is the poisonous feeling of wanting more than you have and that is the root of all evil.

shareI'd say money is neither good nor bad. It's simply how the individual uses it. Money can be used to build schools, hospitals, charities ect....., but it can also be used for bad things like wars.
