Is this site growing?

I don't mean in terms of members, I mean in terms of activity.

It doesn't seem to be. I was hoping by now that we wouldn't still have titles lingering on the Trending board where the last response was more than an hour old, but in fact not only are they still there but there are several.

I wonder if we're destined to be a small community forever. Not that that doesn't have some advantages.

I'm finding it to be very active -- I can hardly keep up with new replies in the little red notification bell at the top. I have e-mail notification also and I'm constantly see my inbox fill up with responses.

I actually think this place is active as f--k and that's a great thing.

I've also been posting on movie boards, and if we all keep doing that -- even "replying" to old, old posts and threads, we will create the activity we want to see.

It's already been working for me -- I've posted on "dead" boards and a day later another person has showed up and said "cool, someone's been posting here!"

WE drive new conversations, we just have to be doing that.

Out of curiosity, are most of these replies coming from posts you've made in the general boards or the specific film boards?

reply

Hmm, we've definitely lost some people that were pretty regular posters. On the other hand, I've seen some new names that are posting prolifically. I'm really hoping the site will do well. My perception is that the individual message boards are doing a lot better than even a month ago. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and posting as soon as I watch something.

The most activity is on the boards of the newly released movies.

It won't grow imo until an autocomplete for the search is added. Having to put you exact title doesn't help for browsing.
