I have no idea, and although I've used and liked Apple products for decades, I wouldn't like it at all if they bought Disney and encoded all (or most, or even half, or any!) Disney content to be platform-dependent.
Cat, I think Apple/Disney would be too smart to do that, but they could, if they wanted to. To quote Thulsa Doom, "THAT is strength, boy. THAT is power!" DVD and Blu-ray discs are regionally encoded, so the movie industry can control when, and how, its product is released in different parts of the world. It wouldn't be hard for A/D to freeze out, say, Netflix or Google, if there were a competitive advantage. More to the point, though, I tremendously admire both these companies for their creativity and energy and history of success. I think the synergy between them would lead to staggering developments. Imagine the Disney theme park Imagineers helping to develop the Apple OS User Experience! Imagine Apple tech in the theme parks or creating the world's greatest content streaming system!
