A gemstone is a piece of mineral crystal/organic material/rock which, in cut and polished form, is used to make jewelry or other adornments.
I prefer mineral crystals in their original form most of the time. Cutting and polishing them rids them of their raw natural beauty & introduces artificiality which is not very pleasing to the aesthetics of the soul-consciousness of human psyche located in the pineal gland
No one is forcing you to like it, but you would never see the aspect of a gemstone or find out things about them if someone at some time did not cut and polish them. A lot was learned about matter through crystallography. A prism is another artificial formation that teaches us something. I am skeptical about any relationship of any crystal to the pineal gland, show me some scientific proof of that please.

The other raw material that is not considered precious accentuates the beauty of the precious raw material
I understand what you are saying, but it is a question of values and taste. I prefer on balance natural stuff, extending especially to food. I was brought up on junk food and it is hard to make the break
