Help me Petition to keep marijuana a Schedule I Drug

The Federal Government is having trouble enforcing laws when States keeps passing laws to legalize this potentially harmful drug. In order for legal businesses to have Federal Tax breaks, they will have to reduce Mary Jane down to a either a Schedule II or III drug. Since States with legal marijuana or medicinal marijuana are showing success, the Federal Government is about to follow suite.

Me too - that's why I wish they would stop selling it to me.

Been smoking pot since the 60's - never had a problem stopping, never went through rehab or withdrawal, never had any ill effects whatsoever.

But hoo boy, I done a bunch of really stupid things on alcohol - that stuff is literally poison.

Alcohol (not that I am an advocate of it) will never fully disappear and its existence predates man as the main process of fermentation happens over a broad base of mediums. Berries, potatoes, apples, grapes, and corn to name a few species in the plant kingdom can be readily fermented. Talk about a hopeless venture in terms of making something illegal. Prohibition showed on a massive scale that alcohol could be made available in huge quantities outside legal avenues.

Sorry, but marijuana should be legalized. Once that is done, I'm all for regulating it to prevent sale to children.

Which industry do you work for, pharmaceutical, alcohol, tobacco, perhaps corn ethanol, or the private prison industry?

Pharmaceutical industry wants to reduce its schedule down so it can begin to pharmaceuticalize the drug. I'd suspect the Alcohol and Tobacco industry would be impartial, since burn outs also smoke cigarettes and drink too. So it won't hurt their industry. Private Prison though was interesting. I could see a Private Prison lobbyist also advocate to keep the harmful marijuana illegal so it can make more sales by imprisoning degenerate pot heads.
