It's funny because I was in college when The Real World debuted on MTV and I never missed an episode. I loved it and everything MTV. I even liked rap! But.... whenever money enters the picture, ideas and genres are destroyed. Of course, it's all to make a buck (even then), but every reality tv show is so gross and exploitive today. Every rap album is over produced. And now, I sound really old! Even the titles of these shows, Naked and Afraid? Ewww! I have a friend who keeps up with these shows and she's a pretty sophisticated person but she loves these shows. I think it's because she has teenagers she watches with. Anyhow, godewey is right, there are so many cable stations taking up the slack and I think tv has never been better. Just have to skip anything labeled "Reality".
shareKids nowadays want to become "youtube stars" when they grow up instead of doctors or firemen.
I bet those reality show people were running around the forest saying dumb stuff like "chicken feed on fleek" for a whole year, in order to get famous. haa.
... Were they still being filmed? Or completely abandoned?
There should be some legal ramifications for that, but I dunno what.
Wouldn't they have noticed when the film crews stopped showing up?
Every reality show has the producers interacting with the cast quite a bit, doing confessional interviews, etc. When all the crew goes away and nobody is filming or interviewing you, why would you keep going?
I am dubious and think it might be a hoax.
They were out in the middle of nowhere, with self-cameras and webcams set up everywhere...
No production interfering.
No reality show just leaves the people alone and doesn't direct or interview them or meddle with them in some way. They want it to look like the people are alone and doing their own thing, but they are always in contact with producers.
This took place in Scotland, maybe they have different laws?
This probably wouldn't happen in America.
Have you watched Russia's big brother? Some crazyyy stuff happens and nobody bats an eye.
OMG....I'm sorry, but this is one of the funniest things I've ever heard!
