selective outrage

Jessica Chastain: “To all the people that love this film- you’re watching a 19yr old get raped by a 48yr old man. The director planned her attack. I feel sick.”

Ava DuVernay: “Inexcusable. As a director, I can barely fathom this. As a woman, I am horrified, disgusted and enraged by it.”

Chris Evans: “Wow. I will never look at this film, Bertolucci or Brando the same way again. This is beyond disgusting. I feel rage.”

Evan Rachel Wood: “I second that. This is heartbreaking and outrageous. The 2 of them are very sick individuals to think that was ok.”

Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson: “Unconscionable and horrific”

Anna Kendrick: “Ms Schneider stated this several years ago. I used to get eye-rolls when I brought it up to people (aka dudes).”

Mia Kirshner: “Can’t stop thinking about Maria Schneider. She was sexually assaulted while filming a scene in Last Tango in Paris.”

Chris Evans is wrong, cause Brando also felt violated by this movie. He was so upset that he stopped talking to Bertolucci for 15 years. Both actors were traumatized.

That's true, why did the media leave out that Schneider and Brando remained friends until his death and that Brando didn't speak to Bertolucci for 15 years? I didn't know until much later after the uproar started. It's unfair that Brando's reputation was wrongly tarnished. I think that SJW types and radical feminists just wanted to demonize men in general and they didn't want facts to get in their way.

brando abused his daughter

he told maria "you remind me of cheyenne" before himself and bertolucci had their fun

I think this may be the reason behind all this abuse talk: "Schneider also claimed that Brando and Bertolucci made a fortune from the film while she made very little money."
