Oh no, that is sad news.

I loved listening to him intro the films. Often enough I'd just listen to the intros because I thought he was that good, and even if I started out with no interest in the film, I'd end up watching because he made them sound so fascinating.

Yes, this gentleman was the ultimate expert and gatekeeper to the Classic films of yesteryear.

He will be irreplaceable as he served as a living link to the glory days of Hollywood.
