We surely have a variety of reactions here...all of them legitimate. And what better way to process these feelings than thru a haiku? Of course you may submit more than one, as feelings are complex, and ever changing.
At this point, I'm all for having IMDB and Amazon's stocks tanking. Moreover, the fact that IMDB's web traffic is now reportedly at an all time low brings me great joy and comfort knowing that they tried to claim that nobody used their message boards when we all knew that wasn't true (rhyme not intentional). I beg to differ! We were thrown out like old garbage, so therefore I now view them as the same. What would really make me the happiest, though, is seeing this website really give IMDB a run for their money in the not too distant future. In my opinion, it would send a hard message to them while also doubling as the ultimate form of payback for what they did to us.
Long story short, if they fail in the long run, then they have nobody to blame but themselves here. I bet it was some useless bean counter at Amazon or IMDB that decided to shut down the message boards. That wouldn't surprise me at all if true.
Rant over for now...it is ten minutes past 3:00 A.M. here so I will talk with you all again soon.
I'm going to guess that Jim set it up that way so that he won't get accused of copyright infringement by IMDb themselves. I love the similar looking and familiar layout, but I'm sure that he can only do so much before things start looking too similar.
In any case, being that Jim has some experience in law (approximately four years), I have full confidence in his ability to properly handle this website and abide by all copyright laws.
