Did you delete your IMDb account?
I didn't see much reason to stay there anymore and have just deleted my account. Not sure if I will ever go back now, as the message boards were a huge part of me using IMDb (even if I read more than I post).

shareI considered it, but I've had an account for over 13 years and I have thousands of ratings there and a watchlist and I wanna still keep them for now at least.
shareNot deleting my 17 year old account, but IMDB will just find that it will become used way less often. I still can't believe my favorite forum on the web is just gone now... Hoping this site really takes off yet!
shareI think I'll do that, to send a message.
shareI did not yet. I am having a hard time because I really hate to delete my 1000+ ratings. I know I know it should not be a big deal....I wish I could just (wo)man up and do it already!!!
shareNah, I'm keeping it. Not that I expect it'll see any use outside of the boards being resurrected.
shareI deleted mine after 10 years, probably wouldn't have if they hadn't pulled the plug early. They knew what they were doing.
shareJust in case you don't know, and I'm not advocating any forum over another, but if you want to make sure your ratings are preserved, you can export them from IMDb and import them to TMDB. Some things like TV episodes won't import, but almost all of my ratings did. The TMDB interface isn't as intuitive and familiar as IMDb's right now, but I did not trust that IMDb wouldn't delete those as well.
Forum anywhere you wish, but I would recommend importing your ratings to TMDB, as that's the only place I know of to do that.
I deleted my IMDb account. To hell with them.
