Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977)

This one is tuff to watch. Coming of a huge hit with The Exorcist (1973). God blessed us with this piece of Sh*t money grab.

Directed by John Boorman, Scored by the great Ennio Morricone. Staring muilti nominated actor Richard Burton. Max von Sydow Linda Bliar and Kitty Winn return to there original roles. James Earl Jones and Ned Beatty also show up in this for some reason.

This movie belongs in the Hall Of Shame. I only wish there was a making of Documentry.

Still I have a soft spot for this garbage and would buy the Bluray if it ever came out.

I've got a soft spot for it, too.

I saw the Exorcist as a little kid, and it terrified me long after the movie ended. But that all went away when, a couple of years later, I saw the comedy that is Exorcist II. Psh, I ain't afraid of no locust! 

This movie is so bad, it's not even so bad it's good. It's just absolutely awful. I don't think even Boorman knew what he was trying to do with it.

"Worthington, we're being attacked by giant bats!"

I liked the scenes at the clinic and Regan's apartment. But this movie was weird.

They forgot to make it scary of give it shock value, which is a large part of the reason why the first one was so popular. Boorman is more interested in the mystical elements of things and he attempted to do something different, but just ended up being misguided. His visuals in the film are fine, but yes, he made it weird. Friedkin was known for his more gritty and realistic presentation of his films.

Yeah, it wasn't scary in the least. It was quite giggle provoking, in fact.

How about when the spike went through Burton's foot?

You mean having both a demon and Christ inside of her.
