I have some questions in regards to...

... the Teen Choice Awards:

1) Some celebrities appeared in a short clip right before the roll call of nominees to say "These are the nominees for...", even though the presenters had already done it. I don't get why. Couldn't they list the nominees one by one? It was just pointless.
2) I complained when Taylor Swift won Ultimate Choice 2 years ago because that was supposed to be their version of a lifetime achivement award, rather than something given to someone who had won every category in which they were nominated. They "fixed" that by awarding Ashton Kutcher for his career last year. But now they gave it to Selena Gomez. The hosts gave a half-assed explanation about why she deserved it at her age. By the way, her career montage included 2 movies very few people (let alone teens) saw: MONTE CARLO and her Razzie nominated-role in GETAWAY. What about SPRING BREAKERS?!
3) For the first time ever, they were held at the Shrine Auditorium, just like the Oscars, Emmys, Grammys and SAG. Does that mean they're now a certified award show?
