1950's: Kind of Blue - Mile Davis - This is the definition of Jazz. Not many albums to go with anyways.
1960's: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - The Beatles (Best Album in all human history)
1970's: London Calling - The Clash - This one is a personal choice, there are many great albums as well, such as Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On", but there are no "obvious choice" here.
1980's: Thriller - Michael Jackson - Pretty obvious choice here.
1990's: Nevermind - Nirvana - I suppose this is the definition of Grunge :P Best song of the 90's plus and the best album of the genre that defined the 90's rock.
2000's: Funeral - Arcade Fire - Another tough one but because there aren't many outstading Albums, ever since the Internet we are back to the singles being more notable than albums.
