When i enjoyed the 3d version of Creature fro the black lagoon.I wrote to universal suggesting that they possibly reissue either that or eagle in the Hawk in 3d.They rudely answer claiming that they did not except a manuscripts because of insurance.I did not send a manuscript. It was a suggestion.Since they were against consumers making suggestion for considerations of next classic ,I thought they owned ,I reported them to the better business bureau. They a a business for consumer of film entertainment are suppose to allow film fans to send suggestions .So Panamint is going to release it Universal home video don't want to do it for some reason.I would hope they include the nat king cole short ,that was premiered with the film, that was in 3D too,but i doubt it ,unless it's lost.Flicker alley did not include the short. One good thing it's the few films ,It Came, before CinemaScope, that also has it' stereo phonic sound preserved too. Many of the 3d films that were in stereo too their audio tape is long lost and our only in mono.

You're lucky Universal deigned to reply to you at all; they ignored my query on the same subject.
According to 3D Film Archive the short will be included and the main feature will be in the correct widescreen format, as will "Gog" when it arrives sometime in March.

Panamint is in Scotland .I had ordered the 3D version of inferno. They had the 0 regions fortunately .The only problem is that since universal home video want to save money by selling the license to panamint ,so they would have to restore it .The price will be steep .if universal did it it would be cheaper.May be amazon will take pre orders and it will be priced right .I got a anaglyph version that was converted from the Japanese process in the grey market.

It appears that the Panamint release of ICFOS will be region B as with Inferno. Maybe they want to see how it sells before going for other areas.
The cinema anaglyph is very good (at least it was in 1981) but the only other anaglyph of it that I've seen was dreadful.
If 3D Film Archive are doing the restoration then it won't be as big a budget as Universal would throw at it but it should be pretty damn good if their previous efforts are anything to go by.

They had offered 0 and b for inferno ,I got the 0.I already wrote a letter suggesting that they should include 0 ,Since it's a very popular title. My anaglph version does pop out but it's from video tape and are not sharp.i'll never understand why flicker alley did not include the Nat king Cole short in their 3D shorts,Previews only of it

Restricting the market for what is already a niche product by means of regional coding has always struck me as bizarre.
However, if the rights holder insists on it, as with "Inferno", then there isn't much the distributor can do about it.
I'm glad I live in region B.

They were unable to acquire the rights to the Nat King Cole short. The trailer was in the public domain. Looks like Universal was saving it for this release.
