Books to Movies

Does anyone know of or suggest any books that were made into a movie or you would like to see made into a movie regarding LGBT

I've read Power Exchange and the sequel Safeword. Both would make a nice romantic/crime drama. The detective is gay working on a serial murder case regarding Doms at a SMBD club. He gets involved with the shrink who is a Dom helping to investigate

I read just about every lesbian romance novel I can get my hands on. I would freaking kill to see any of them turned into film or TV. The only one that has (in my collection) is Sugar Rush, which became a British TV show. The show was decent but nowhere near as good as the book.

I will never understand why Annie On My Mind has never been made into at least a TV movie. Like, really? Lifetime, LOGO, Showtime, y'all are wasting yer goddamn time until an Annie On My Mind movie exists.

Other than that the #1 lesbian novel that needs to be adapted is The Miseducation of Cameron Post by Emily Danforth. I've never had the pleasure of reading such an immense cast of deep, nuanced, relatable characters in any romance novel before. It's such a rich and full story that a movie wouldn't really do it justice, it should be made into a TV drama series.

Its to bad that books where the leads are either gay or a lesbian are not adapted to film. There's a lot of untapped material out there.

Hmm. Off the top of my head, there's The Lost Language of Cranes.
I read the novel, but I don't recall for certain whether I've seen the film version.

I'm not familiar with that one. I'll have to see if Netflix has it
