Orphan Black

Orphan Black, would you consider it an LGBT show? The show features a gay male anda gay female character, a trans man and a possibly bisexual woman. It is worth noting that the characters sexualities are not really integral to the plot but just happens to be the characters orientation. Though an argument could be made that one of the relationships started by two women is integral to plot development it is not the fact that the relationship is between two women that is the main focus.

I've only watched a couple episodes. Pleased to see there are a lot of LGBT characters on the show, my question would be how large are their roles? That's my main criteria. The gay guy is a major supporting character but I'm not sure I've seen the other characters.

The lesbian woman is also a major character on the show. The transman is a fairly new cast members so it is hard to say how big of a role he will play in future episodes. The relationship of the two woman has been important in plot progressions and the gay supporting male is not a token gay guy since the show does feature other gay males (though so far in smaller roles)

Yes I would consider it LGBT. The main character is Sarah Manning, a straight woman, who has a brother who is gay and a clone sister who is a lesbian who are both main characters. Plus other supporting LGBT characters.

LGBT isn't the main focus of the show. It's a science fiction show. But I think it can be safely classified under LGBT.
