Can someone help me out with this one?

You know when you watch a movie and cant remember an actors name? The feeling that eats away at your brain more and more and more until you finally remember. Iv´e had that feeling for several years now. I remember watching a show a few years back, late 90s early 00s. Might have been a bad show that doesn´t matter I just need to know the name. Here is what I remember:

A new breed of humans (evolutionary) had started popping up and the old humans (homo sapiens ofc) were afraid they were about to be replaced. Fighting ensues the main character is one of these new humans.

That´s about it. Iv´e googled this for hours etc but I just can´t freakin find out the name of the show. Does anyone know what show I´m talking about?
