The Monkees was a great show !
I never really figured out the Monkees were a TV show before they became a "legit" band. But I always found them more enjoyable than the Beetles. So very talented in performing. They were long before my time, but I caught some re-runs on youtube. I had no idea that the show was that good. Its sad it only lasted two Seasons. Ironically, while the Monkees were supposed to be "counter culture" to me the show is endearingly wholesome compared to anything out today. And much of the comedy is timeless. I appreciate it.
