I never really cared for this show. Gomer was enough on Andy Griffith but I couldn't take a half hour of him. For me, a little of Gomer went a long, long way...
shareI watched it once in awhile. It was usually pretty funny.
No disrespect for Gomer, but I felt that Frank Sutton really carried the show. He never failed to crack me up.
And recently I saw Sutton give a memorable performance in an early FUGITIVE episode, 'The Other Side of the Mountain.'
I loved the episode where Gomer lost the mobile command post and found it painted psychedelic-style, hijacked by Rob Reiner, another guy whose name escapes me, and the cute girl who used to 'take tea' on the Smothers Brothers show (another one I loved)
