shareI remember a show called "Panic!." For years, no one I talked to remembered it. Until wonderful IMDb came along, I thought that I'd imagined it.
The opening showed a person, or two, doing something perfectly normal (having a picnic, driving down a road, etc.). The narrator introduced them by character name, with a few more words that described the situation. Next he would say that within a few minutes they will face PANIC!. With the word "PANIC!," a graphic of shattered glass would fill the screen.
I remember feeling very apprehensive when the action resumed after the commercial break. You didn't know exactly when it would happen ... but you knew it would.
As a kid, I thought that was very cool.
MeTV network plays Sea Hunt episodes. The orchestra opening and his narrating the episode was unique.
shareLoretta Young twirling into the room in a chiffon dress for opening of "The Loretta Young Show". As a little girl I was so impressed. Loved her.
sharePeter Gunn and Mr. Lucky, both helped by memorable Henry Mancini compositions.
But throughout it all, my motto was "Dignity! Always dignity!".
