Really old spoken country song
It was released at least 40 years ago and was spoken by a man who was supposed tobe drunk. All I remember was that he talked about his wife and vermouth.

shareI Like Beer by Tom T. Hall?
shareNo this is older and not sung.
shareSounds lak something ol' Hank woulda re-corded. He would mention "Ordry" ever so often.
sharePossibly "Fifteen Beers Ago" by Ben Colder (aka actor Sheb Wooley http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0941125/ ) which was a big hit parody to Conway Twitty's "Fifteen Years Ago" in 1970. All of "Colder's" performances were parodies performed as a mock-drunk.
shareNot sure of the song, but you might want to check out Red Sovine. He was the king of the recitation.
shareI'd say Hank Williams as 'Lonesome Luke' was king of the recitations. But Tom T's 'I Like Beer' is the only song I can think of that includes the wife and the word 'vermouth.'
