Country radio is horrible!

I really dis like Country radio. I hate how you hardly here female singers. And anymore all songs are about drinking, partying, girls, and trucks. Country Music needs to change big time. (And before anyone comments, yes my icon is of a Country Singer... she is my favorite.)

Didn't your favorite singer do a drinking song of her own a few years ago? That is how "My Last Name" came across to me anyways.

God bless you always!!!

P.S. I do agree with you very much though that there are too many songs on the radio these days about drinking and partying. (shrugs)

Check out my most favorite singer, James Otto, when you can! I love him SO much!!! (smiles)

I used to love this music, it was music for adults. Now music for frat boys, a new level of immaturity. All beer and trucks, rapping and guitar solos. Terrible male artists, no respect for female artists, most can't get played. Ageism runs rampant. Traditional country is ignored. Too much attention to amateur hour winners, not enough to those who worked at their craft. Repetition, same bad male artists every hour. Aldean, Church, Gilbert etc are not country.
Sorry I have a great dislike for your icon as well.

Country needs more fiddles, guitars pushed back to rhythm support, and more real down home licks.
p.s. Nevada has radio station(s)KHOG; sometimes yuh kin hear Hank; Patsy; Little Jimmy Dickens; Waylon, and even Bob and Tommy from across that ol' Red River.

Anyone know why CM radio has changed as it has?

reply

I am guessing that it doesn't know how to say no to peer pressure anymore.

God bless you always!!!

What's that supposed to mean?

reply

They don't know how to say "No." when certain people want other things to be added to what is supposed to be country radio.

God bless you always!!!

Look up the history of Payola. DeeJays are no longer rewarded with bribes for playing records; radio station conglomerates are. Which is ironically legal. And it is not just country radio; radio, with the exception of local traffic and weather reports, is dead.
