Film Scores: LOTR Vs. TDK
I love the film score for Lord of the Rings, but a friend of mine said he liked The Dark Knight film score better. Which is better?

share"The Lord of the Rings", without a doubt. It's a true symphonic musical score, and a great one at that. The score to "The Dark Knight" is more sound design than actual music. It is based more a sort of frenzied ambiance than recognizable melodies, and sounds like it was composed and performed by machines.
Courage, men! We've not sunk before, and we'll not sink now!
I'd like to clearly state that the LOTR film score is my favorite. Some of the Music is just so beautiful. I can't even see how the two compare.
shareLord of the Rings without a second thought. It has every element you could hope for including music that invokes power, nostalgia, hope, sadness. I mean there's a little bit of everything.
Dinsdale, He was a nice boy...... He nailed my head to a coffee table.
LOTR.
I don't remember a single music line from TDK.

LOTR for me too.
I´m sure many of you here will disagree on this, but a couple of days ago I was asking myself the same thing but with LOTR vs Kingdom Hearts scores. I know LOTR is very close to perfection, but the Kingdom Hearts one, even though some might consider it infantile just at the sound of the name, is perhaps a bit more magical and emotive IMO, although LOTR would be better in the technical and instrumental musical aspects. It also helps if you have ever played one of the KH games which the score suits very well. In general they have very different vibes so it´s just hard for me to decide.
I won´t comment on TDK because I think it´s not that great a soundtrack.
I'm now interested in the Kingdom Hearts score. I've never heard it before, but I'm going to check it out soon. I agree on the TDK part. It's not that great a soundtrack. I actually dislike it.

Title is perhaps a little dramatic and biased, but it´s a good way to draw views.
