Its hard to say if the actual team is stronger than that one who won the Champions league.
Many of the main players of 2013 are still active. Just the forwards and Gustavo went away. And Kroos, who is maybe the hardest one to replace. On paper, it must be stronger. I think Lewandowski is stronger than Mandzukic and then there are the new spanish guys in midfield and defense.
But generally, I think, like its always is since years: Munich has probably the best balanced team in Europe, and if the tactics are perfect, they are going to win. But they still are not able and/or willing to afford players like Messi, Ronaldo and the likes.
