All these rappers calling themselves Gods is annoying !

They are so un humble and uncreative .

If it's any constellation, it doesn't mean anything.

I assume it started with Jay-Z in "Crown" and every other rapper just copied.

reply

I know that I'm sick of hearing it because stupid people believe and start calling them Gods.

oldschool rappers? They called each other God as a 5%er Muslim term.

Not many of those guys still around though.

The thing is Jay-Z is so lame to me. He has really dwindled his rhymes get weaker as he ages. He thinks he is some great where people wait and anticipate his next album but its so lackluster tbh. Once they skyrocket and get the record sales these rappers heads are in the clouds. Anybody these dayz can put out an awesome beat and whack lyrics and get over 500,000 views in a week on youtube and that will equal to sales. I hate where music is going now.

Agreed. Jay-Z was way better when he was younger.

Problem is now, he "tells" us he's the best ever rather than being the best.

Although when you compare even his commercial stuff to most of what get's radio play nowadays, he's right which isn't saying much. Ditto for Kanye West.

I'm already at the point were I only listen to a handful of artist. If the overall direction of the music industry continues, I may just stick to the stuff I grew up on like everyone else as old as me is.

Hip-Hop from the 90s/early 2000s will always be the best!

Jay-Z is too full of himself with being this so-called "Rap God" he has a massive career off the backs of Pac & B.I.G who are no longer here to reign the Hip-Hop charts.

reply

He literally cashed in on big and pac death. When they were alive he was afraid .
