The Sample Thread

A lot of people grumble and groan about sampling, but not I and not the Hip Hop community, who through sampling, have been introduced to a lot of artists and songs. This new generation of listeners have given countless artists a second life (not to mention vinyl itself). The amount of great tracks I've discovered through Hip Hop is vast. All it takes is one sample, leading to one song, leading to an artist's entire work. While the grumblers grumble, the artists themselves join in the chorus: Hip Hop Hooray!
