What are your favorite power trios?

I saw the hosts of "That Metal Show" rank their top five power trios. I was totally stoked that Don Jamieson or Jim Florentine listed King's X, one of my all time favorite bands. Eddie Trunk went with classic bands like Cream and Jimi Hendrix Experience. I consider those bands to be more classic rock than metal. Motörhead were listed, of course. No one mentioned that they had been a four piece for a while. No one mentioned Thin Lizzy. They were a trio before adding a second lead guitar player. Here are my top five power trios.

1. King's X
2. King's X
3. Triumph
4. Zebra
5. King's X

RUSH might be more of a progressive band than a metal band. I like Grand Funk Railroad a lot. But they are close to classic rock and became a four piece.

Night Demon - I'm impressed. The bass player is using a Flying V bass guitar. Can't remember if I've ever seen on of those before.

They are on Century Media. CM handles mostly BM and Doom but they throw in some good rock bands.

Their full-length debut album is called "Curse of the Damned", and is one of my favorite 2015 releases.

ELP, if they count.

ELP were a great trio. I think they are considered progressive, not power. I can't believe Keith Emerson passed away. The media barely covered it.
