Bingo, Southland is the only show with semblance of reality. And BTW, I know you're entitled to your opinion, but seriously, I can't believe the OP actually ranks CSI:Miami first.

I'm going to ruffle feathers here and say I only rate The Mentalist and NCIS as any good. Bones isn't too bad and Law and Order is better than the CSI franchise. Most have 2 dimensional characters, poor scripts, are full of gratuitous violence and CGI. They have stories that are completely daft.

Bring back Harry O! The scripts were great, he was a well rounded character, the acting was superb and the stories believable.

You didn't mention Monk. He's great. Maybe he's not on Telly in the US any more.
