Photoshop Elements

Is there anyone using this, I just have a few (actually a lot)questions, regarding some of the features, and how to to use some of the tools AND changing background color, any help, suggestions or even an additional website that would have some info would be great.

Thanks in advance

I use Photoshop Elements 2. I have had it 2 or 3 years and I'm still learning how to use it. There is a lot to it. I usually learn things quickly but I still don't quite know how to use all the features. Anything in particular that you have questions about? You can search Google for "Photoshop tips" "Photoshop Elements" and get help that way too.

I have googled photoshop but I seem to end up with CS3, not elements...although I wonder if they are pretty similar. I've only been using it a few months now, so still much to learn...do you know how to work with layers, so if you have it b/w but want specific things in color...and also just to change the background color in photos? any help would be great, you can PM me if you know. Thanks.

Personally, I use Photoshop, but there's something I'm curious about on Photoshop Elements which maybe its users could answer. Does it have the Camera Raw plug-in that comes with Photoshop CS2 and CS3?

Considering the price of Adobe products and the fact that they've all got product activation, I might want to look at using Photoshop Elements in the future, at least for laptops that I might take with me on photo-shoots, but I'd really like to have that Camera Raw plug-in to use when I'm away from home.

When I first started using Elements I purchased "Classroom In A Book" for Photoshop. Some of the lessons did not apply to Elements but it did help me understand basic processes and how to use them. I kept it handy near my computer because some of the functions were used less often and I would forget how to use them.

I now have Photoshop but have not searched out my old copy of the "Classroom" (it is here somewhere! I know it is). I looked on line and found that some people are selling used copies of the "Classroom" really cheaply.

Just a thought.
