When the day comes we have to go to war against Utah, we are really gonna kick ass.

There are so many I like, and so many more I've never heard of, Emanuel Lubezki would be one of them, I don't think I heard the name before.
Would be nice if people provided a link to their favorite photographers, or to some of their pics, if possible, so we could have a kind of collection in this thread.
I'm gonna hunt for my links will post some later!

EDIT: Ooops, I only realize just now that your thread is about cinematographers, not photographers. Did you notice that there's a new special board for them? http://www.imdb.com/board/bd0000127/threads/ So my above answer actually wasn't to the point, sorry.
Stanley Cortez, who did The Night of the Hunter and The Naked Kiss.
Did he train you? Did he rehearse you? Did he tell you EXACTLY what to do, what to say?!
Ah, I didn't even realize there was a Cinematography board - figured this was pretty much it.
Lubezki did The New World and Children of Men, if that gives you an idea. Here's my favorite scene of his (forgive the aspect ratio distortion): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hrFEhd6tKc
