settings for pics indoor, sporting events?

Can anyone give a hint on taking photographs indoors where there is florescent light? I have a florescent setting, but it does little to improve photographs. They are always a blur.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Fluorescent not neon Right?
So take with lower ISO ,check aperture between 1/20 to 1/250
Try a custom white balance session directly shooting on white paper under fluo source

if the lens is already wide open and there still isn't enough light for a sufficiently high shutter speed, you'd crank the iso up, not lower it.

Thank you.
