What life changing moments,do you wish you had photographed much better?

What (serious or humorous) past or present life-changing moments you've
experienced so far, would you most like to have (or have had) professionally
captured on film properly or much better, that for some reason you didn't, or
if you did or anyone did so for you, it was done in a very mediocre manner for
some reason and please say why, for anything mentioned.

My 21st birthday party. I had the camera, my sister had the video camera so she was going round asking everyone to say a few words on film, but - me having the photographic camera - about 200 pictures were taken that night and probably ten were of me. (Several taken by drunk people who offered - cue my line for, "To take the picture, press the big button on the top".) I have a couple of good ones but I wish I had more.

Oh, and my graduation ceremony. It was about four days after I'd got my digital SLR. I was still learning how to use it and my dad was looking after it to get pictures of me on stage, but he only got a couple because it doesn't take long to walk across a stage and he was still trying to work out how the camera worked. (So I wish I could have cloned myself and helped him that day.)

Ahh. A depressing discussion topic for sure .

During my middle to high school years, I'm talking 7th-10th grade, we went on yearly tours. Ten day excursions to Yosemite, The Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, an assortment of place which lend themselves perfectly to photography. Back then I didn't have the camera nor the eye I do now, but I did take pictures. I just wish I could go back to those places and experience them as fully as I would now.

We didn't even get a "first foto" from the hospital because we couldn't afford it.

Several years ago, while driving to Charlotte, I got caught in a winter storm. As I got past the snow covered areas, I wound up in a place where everything was covered in ice. It had the effect of making everything look like it was made of glass. -And the camera was at home.

Hmm. I'd photograph my entire life, lol! But yes, there are some really special moments that you sometimes want to go back to...
