It may be a fable that widom teeth need to be extracted, but it's close to the truth.
It's certainly preferable, as they're clearly more trouble than they're worth.
IDK this from personal experience, but an injured wisdom tooth is far more painful than a normal molar.
In addition, I can't tell you how many times I bit my tongue when I had them.
I actually haven't bitten my tongue since.

I just had mine removed during the summer. It was a pain, but it only took me about two weeks to fully recover and get back to eating normally. I thought it was gonna take months. I'm so glad it's over though, and now I will never have to think about them again.
