I know this is old, but what happened?
The poster who replied you can get an infection is correct. Look up fistula. You can get one of those which can form a hole through your cheek eventually. You definitely need to see your dentist and then possibly a referral for some form of dental surgery when a tooth falls out that isn't supposed to do so. Just FYI for anyone else who might encounter this problem and think because it doesn't hurt and they don't need that tooth that they don't need to follow up on it. They definitely do.
Also, with the new advances in 3D technology pretty soon they'll be able to create an implant for a mere fraction of the cost of what they cost now. (Some already can.) So, if you can have them fix it so it's prepared for an implant at a later time then go ahead and do that. You can always add it later when they're really cheap and easy to do. That will be really soon now.
If I want to knock a story off the front page I just change my hairstyle.
