Anglo-Dutch Wars

In high school I read a very vivid account of the naval battles between the English and Dutch 1650-1670 (or thereabout). I've looked for this book many times but all the books I have come across are much less vivid, most give almost no description of the battles.

Do you mean in Europe or Indonesia (Dutch East Indies)? If I recall the worst encounters of all were in Indonesia with some brutal atrocities committed against Engpishmen in the Spice Islands.
