Churchill and the Sinking of the Lusitania

Here is a review of a book on the sinking of the Lusitania and the duplicity and lies of Winston Churchill. The book is by Erik Larson and is called Dead Wake The Last Crossing of the Lusitania -

The problem is we don't have, nor Erik Larson the author, the
Churchill letter to Runciman. So we don't know of any lies
told by Churchill. It's all just second hand information.

Since the first article in that discussion thread is historically inaccurate*, it's hard to make the case it has any useful information.

And, of course, "false flag" is a major red flag that the person using the phrase doesn't know anything about the subject involved. In the real world, false flags (that actually do something other than a feint) do not exist because they are far too risky.

*the Lusitania was sunk in 1915 and the US entered the war in 1917. The Zimmerman telegram, and a return to unrestricted submarine warfare were what got the US into the war.
